… Doing up our flat in London. A time consuming trial of love, labour and DIY.
Which - by a quirk of fate now it is finished - we are selling! Jobs call us elsewhere and M has had enough of his long commute. We want gardens and maybe even stairs. So it’s Brighton way we are looking at…
This is what my fingernails, health and sanity have been sacrificed to these past months:
Lounge / Dining Room / Kitchen (view to balcony and garden)
Lounge from balcony end
Kitchen
Bathroom
Master Bedroom
All those months of hard work and strife are over - let’s hope we find a new flat that needs nothing doing to it!
I’ve pounded the streets of Brighton today looking at yet more flats and now have an inflamed knee, it won’t bend - ouch.

Wow. Nice flat. It’s a shame you’re leaving it.

Gee Bobble, it’s been years since I’ve logged into your sight .. had to find you first from Roach’s blog, that I got from Beachhutman’s blog etc .. The London flat looks amazing. I wish I could purchase it but no go. I moved across the pond finally to Germany (of all places) - so now that I’m closer to the 20six clan, I still haven’t been out and about from Frankfurt yet. There’s this train by the ‘Hauptbahnof’ called ICE and I hear it goes to Paris. I should like to just hop on and take a day trip - as that would be all I could afford for now.
Let me tell you, leaving a life to re-create another one from scratch is AUGHGHHGG.. but such a learning experience.
I hope you find what you are looking for in Brighton.
