Weekend

Last weekend we ate at a Little Chef and a Wimpy and drove 400 miles around Sussex and Kent. We saw signs for three Little Chefs before finding one that hadn’t been shut down - cruel motorway signs, they must be taken away. In the Wimpy they had the friendliest staff ever and I was tempted (but not seduced) by the ‘Trucker’ burger. It looked right large. Oh and the coffee! Wimpy have the biggest cups ever…

We hired a car (a Clio with the fattest rear end) so I could take lots of pictures of my beloved freezing his arse off on remote beaches - and to carry three cameras, a portable lighting kit and a big tripod. M was an excellent model and I *think* my shots didn’t end up looking like a Next catalogue.

Oh, if you ever go to Dungeness bring woolly ear protection - it’s freezing round by the nuclear power station.

Your shots look very cool, Bobble, and not next cataloguey at all. Your photo albums full of memories must be fab. It sounds like a really good way to spend a weekend. (I have to say the Little Chef at Tomintoul on the A9 closed down too, but thats probably not very relevant to you unless you go to Inverness ever. (and if you do, I’d love to see what photos you took in Scotland, it’s the most devastatingly beautiful place)) Did you go down through battle at all? There are so many nice little villages and places around there!
