Bestest news

No, not England being 2-0 up with a minute to go against Trinidad and Tobago but this.

If you watch Doctor Who and want to remain spoiler-free don’t click the link. If you do watch but click anyway, thank the lord! That can’t happen soon enough for my liking.

Oh my hate.

Hehe, I trust that you’ll be DVD’ing that episode for posteriority?

I dunno, I quite like her (no not like THAT). I think she plays a chav really really well. Although of course, that may not actually be ‘acting’.

Good old Cyberman – I knew they’d be back this series, just like the did with the Dalek’s last year.

And for the record, I’m glad David Tennant is sticking around – he’s a far better Doctor than Eccleston was…

Pete it will be Sky+’ed right up!

Kevling – She does do the chav well but she has many points (that I discuss ad-nauseum on LJ who) that I don’t like. Doesn’t help that the writing has been very inconsistent for her this series, but well.

I like DT too (when he doesn’t overdo it – “STOP SHOUTING DOCTOR!” – pity that as he is a fine actor.) Nine was far too emo for my liking. I am Old School Who through and through (I started watching at the end of Tom Baker) so I loves the old adversaries – bring back the Master I say (and Romana from e-space) tout de fecking suite.

awww…I’m not happy that she’s going at all!

I’ve been an avid fan of Dr Who since the first episodes I saw when I was about 2 or 3 …I’ve even met John Pertwee and Tom baker.

I think that Billie Piper has played a good part, and yes ok I fancy the pants of her, but I’m happy to say that I’m NOT a chav!

I preferred Ace. I think this one’s a bit clingy.
As to BP’s acting talent – sometimes I wonder why anyone bothers to spend three years training to be an actor, singer, dancer nowadays. Look through the TV schedules and apparently anyone can be a success after 6 weeks! I wonder what she is going to do next – Eastenders or Corrie! DT however seems to have grasped that anyone as old as the Doctor has to have a highly developed sense of the ridiculous to still be enthusiastic about life and the universe. He still needs to work on his asides to the camera though. Sometimes the scripts sound like someone crashing the gears on a maserati.

    oh, oh, witchy-bitchy bobble! LOL

Funny, I thought I’d hate her in DW (I didn’t watch with Eccleston much but Mr T is entirely another story, swoon) but I think on the whole she’s been better than I expected. I was quite surprised that she sounds much posher in real life than the “chavette” Rose. So mebbe she is acting *a bit*.

As for the choice of the Dr’s new assistant?

    PICK ME! PICK ME!

    I guess you’ve seen this news now…

I heard it over breakfast. I knew it was going to be an actress who had already been in an episode … I actually wanted the actress who’d played the childs’ Mother in “Fear Her.”

“The perfect foil for the Doctor”
    Hmmm… I bet Billie’s a tad upset by that comment…
