Conversations with TV

Who doesn’t shout at the TV when characters / plot / dialogue (or lack of) are annoying?

On the last series of Stargate
Bubb: They need to bring Jack back.
Me: Yep *momentary older man fantasy*, he’s like Giles… but with visably more testosterone.

On CSI last night
Me: I see ‘Moustache Boy’ is still with us. (Nick Stokes’ new look)
Bubb: What is this CSI:1976? *hums an electro-porn sountrack*

On Battlestar Galactica
Bubb: Gaius Baltar, grade A nutter.
Me: Why do they dress him in that ’school uniform’? Has the wardrobe department gone over budget or are they just kinky?

On Charlie Brooker’s Screen Wipe
Me: I’d have that man’s babies… if he was passably attractive.
Bubb: He is so right about Noel Edmunds, as are Adam & Joe.

And don’t even get me started on Smallville.

If only TV sarcasm criticism was an Olympic sport.

What was it about Noel Edmunds?

I do shout at the telly, but this is the second post I’ve read today about UK telly and I have absolutely no idea what the programmes are. And I don’t worry about it any more.

Snaggle: Charlie brooker was commenting on his show ‘Deal or No Deal’. He said it was “all in Noel’s head.”

Heather: you mean they don’t have a CSI:Zurich?

I don’t think so. But I watch very little TV these days. Euro TV is very slow - they do show Desperate Housewives on one of the german channels but it’s too fast for me to follow.

  5. bobble Says:

Me neither - I watched very little TV in Italy as it was all jiggling bobbies/unmitigated trash. And the fact that they are 2 years behind the UK series wise…

  6. Snag Says:

    Mmm… jiggling bobbies ;)

There is no conceivable excuse for that moustache. What WAS he thinking? And does he not own a mirror?

  8. bobble Says:

Snags you better believe it… complete with big boobies. *ahem*
Pog that moustache is so intrusive. It’s ruining my viewing pleasure.
