Some major changes have been taking place in life a la Bobble this week. Mostly college related and mostly not good. After being in a quandry for the past few months about my postgraduate studies I have finally made some decisions (thanks for the advice Queener) about what direction I am going in.
Next week will be unpleasant and taxing by turns; but the outcome worth it I hope. But, I do find myself in the position of being able to continue work full time at my temporary job next term and earn some money for my Christmas New York trip, so making my mind up has had some compensations.
I will now have to read two extremely heavy critical theory books (when Amazon deigns to deliver them) and prepare a shit hot project proposal to support my next two years of study (any ideas?) in my new specialism area. Come early November I will also be reinterviewed by the weighty powers that be to ensure I have a place come January.
Wish me luck I am going to need it.

On the upside (assumming I pass the proposal / interview) I have two good years to look forward to and not another year like last when no one knew what they were doing, my stuff wasn’t appraised and supervisors just didn’t turn up or seem to care. I hated it.
You’ll all be pleased to know I am doing “pure” photography now (if I get accepted) and have to think up a damn good critical theory proposal for it. I was thinking about the value and social interpretation of the travel photograph in the 21st century. But I am now rambling and boring and will shut up.
